Answers by topic

Is the club only for experienced debaters?

Tell us about your experience and the setting you are preparing for. The appropriate meeting or coaching focus depends on the format and your current needs; discuss those details before choosing participation.

Can I work on an impromptu round?

Yes, an enquiry can focus on short preparation and an impromptu response. Share the expected time limits and the kind of prompt used so the practice task can be defined clearly.

What should I bring to coaching?

A short speech extract, a motion or a performance question is a useful starting point. Include the event rules and explain the feedback you have already received, if you wish to use it in the discussion.

How are meeting details confirmed?

Share preferred timings in IST and whether you are seeking group practice or focused coaching. The channel, attendance arrangements and applicable terms are confirmed directly.

Will a meeting be recorded?

Recording should be discussed in advance with the people involved. A practice enquiry does not itself authorise publication of a speech, a recording or another participant's contribution.

Can a group discuss a practice format?

Groups can describe their size, experience and competition format. That information supports a conversation about a suitable practice structure and the roles needed for an attentive exchange.
